Signed up for the annual Bead Peeps Swap n Hop
Here are a few facts about me & my jewellery:

I got started making jewellery when I took a glass fusing course in Toronto.  I made glass cabochons in a kiln and made simple pendants.  Then when I moved to Kelowna BC I took a glass bead making course (took another one at Bead FX in Toronto) &  added beads to my jewellery & then sometimes add a few elements of recycled vintage jewellery.
I love working with wire & often add elements of twisted wire to my Art glass panels so I started making findings, clasps, etc. with wire.   I have also taken a silver smith  course but prefer to use wire & wire working tools to create my pieces.  One of these days I will get busy with the silver smith techniques, but now am very busy teaching workshops at the Rotary Centre for the Arts where I have a studio.

I like to make simple,  contemporary  jewellery. (Although I sometimes get carried away with my designs.
I like to use sterling silver wire, silver plate wire & my favorite is copper wire
Materials I use are of course glass, fresh water pearls, metal spacers,  a few large seed beads, that co-ordinate with my colours..
I would have to say that I usually stick to one side of the colour wheel (analogous) with the limes & turquoises, teals being my favorite but also do the pinks, purples, oranges.  Black & white is always good too.

I like wire wrapping, letter stamping, using lead free solder on copper & stamping a design in it.
I also do workshops at Seniors Residences, The Canadian Mental Health Wellness Centre and with school children.. like the Kindergarteners the best!!

Hope that gives a bit of info about me
